Winning the Battles of Life

If you are a child of God you would have found out that the battles of life are real. well, if you haven’t witness any battle in life you might be excusable, however the battles of life are real and sometimes could be very intense. They could be spiritual and may be physical in some cases. Job was a man in the Bible who experienced first hand the battles of life and had to pen this down for us in the verse of Scripture below: Job 14:1 Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble. And you and I knew the kind of war Job had to fight in his days and generation.

He was stripped of all he had including his children because of this battles. However, his later end was better than his beginning. Job 42:10-12 10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. 11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold. 12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses. In fact, since that war that took place in heaven that culminated in Satan been driven down to the earth, war has never stopped on the face of the earth. Right now the war for the souls of men is still raging. The war between the forces f light and darkness is very much on.

See what the Book of Revelation has to say about this. Rev. 12:7-12 7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, a nd his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Looking into the life of King David we saw a man who was always involved in warfare with the surrounding neighboring nations. Biblical . account has it that he fought about 32 wars without defeat and his Son Solomon didn’t fight any because the father fought for him.

Here is a little bit of the summary of the various wars he fought and won. 1Chro. 18:1-13 1 Now after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Philistines. and he smote Moab; and the Moabites became David’s servants, and brought gifts. 3 And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to stablish his dominion by the river Euphrates. 4 And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: David also houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them an hundred chariots. 5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men. 6 Then David put garrisons in Syriadamascus; and the Syrians became David’s servants, and brought gifts.

Thus the Lord preserved David whithersoever he went. 7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem. 8 Likewise from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, brought David very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brasen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass. 9 Now when Tou king of Hamath heard how David had smitten all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah; 10 He sent Hadoram his son to king David, to enquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him; (for Hadarezer had war with Tou;) and with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass. 11 Them also king David dedicated unto the Lord, with the silver and the gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek. 12 Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah slew of the Edomites in the valley of salt eighteen thousand. 13 And he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became David’s servants. Thus the Lord preserved David whithersoever he went.

THE LORD JESUS The Lord Jesus also fought on our behalf and He has given us the victory. It stands to reason in the same vein that because Jesus has fought on our behalf we can also have victory in life. 1Cor. 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. As we look into the Book of Psalm we shall see that God has decided to end the wars or battles of our lives Ps. 46:9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. – On Ancient of Days, bring every battles of my life to an end now in Jesus miracle working name. – O Rock of Ages, arise and fight my battles – Oh God Mercy, let your mercy turn my portion around for good – Every strong battle that say, my life will be stagnant like pond water, break and die now – You strong battle that has taken laughter away from my life, enough is enough, die – Battle and its owner that has vowed to die with me, I am not ready to die now, die by fire – Oh Lord, end suddenly every battle of my life and family – Oh God, put to open shame, all enemies of my career
